CANCER – Western Medicine vs Alternative Treatments

General — admin @ 6:25 pm

THEORY:

Western Medicine:  From www.webmd.com/cancer:  “Cancer, also called malignancy, is characterized by an abnormal growth of cells. There are more than 100 types of cancer, including breast cancer, skin cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer, and lymphoma. Cancer symptoms vary widely based on the type of cancer.”

Alternative: Everyone has cancer cells that exist. If the body is healthy and balanced and the immune system is strong, the body can keep those cells in check and they will not become cancerous /  malignant.

CAUSES:

Western Medicine:  Causes of cancer can be hereditary or environmental, or otherwise  random attacks on individuals.

Alternative: Cancer takes a long time to develop as it takes time for a body to become out of balance, and there are several warning signs that may not have been noticed, or were simply ignored. Diseases progress:

1 – irritation

2 – inflammation

3 – lesion

4 – induration (hardening) or tumor

5 – cancer (malignancy)

THOUGHTS:

Western Medicine: Thoughts of all the horror that must be endured, losing the hair, who will take the kids? How many people will come to my funeral? Will this be covered on insurance?

Alternative: Healthy and empowering thoughts to regain balance. Thoughts of healing, visualizations of a healthy body, of cancer being released.  Meditation.

EMOTIONS:

Alternative: Learn to invite the emotions in, feel them completely, express them in healthy ways, and then release them. Louise Hay’s book “Heal Your Life” is a great resource and shows the emotional cause behind different conditions and diseases.

Western Medicine: This whole situation is pretty depressing, so Prozac, Prozac, Prozac.

TREATMENTS:

Alternative: Treatments are dependent upon the cause in each individual; involves the examination of one’s health including mind, body and spirit. The treatment consists of regaining balance, or going back to basics. Cleanse toxins, release negative emotions, strengthen immune system, add nutrients, forgive. How can I regain balance? Listen to your body. What is it trying to tell you?

Western medicine: (from www.webmd.com) “Cancer treatment includes chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery.  If you’re considering complementary treatments for cancer, discuss this with your doctor as they may interact with other cancer treatment.” Listen to your doctor as he is the expert and knows what’s best for your health. (Notice how webmd.com subtly discredits complementary medicine.)

SUMMARY:

Alternative Medicine: The patient must discover what is creating the imbalance and take steps to learn about and heal himself or herself.

Western Medicine: The patient must trust the doctor to “fix” them with the latest and greatest technology or chemotherapy.

Live Blood Cell Analysis with Holistic Health Practitioner Storm Cole

General — admin @ 6:35 pm
She takes a sample of blood from your finger, puts it on a slide to look under a microscope. From there she can view your blood cells and you can follow along and see what she’s looking at with her attached monitor. With live blood cell analysis, the blood cells are fresh so in the beginning they are still moving.
I did my first live blood cell analysis in late December 2010.  My blood was generally in good health, yet far from perfect. I had some extra debris or things that weren’t blood cells that shouldn’t be in there, she pointed out some uric acid, and also something that indicated I could use a liver cleanse. But nothing too urgent. I started with the blood cleaner.

About 3 weeks ago, my house was flooded. During that time the company that dried it out my unit cut out a piece of an asbestos contaminated ceiling, and then had the four air blowers on for over a week. I learned that asbestos is toxic when it is airborne. Yet I had been walking in and out of my unit for over a week. I stayed once for a while collecting the belongings I needed to stay in a hotel.

And that entire week my throat was swollen and sore. The next week it was raw and burning. I had a cough that didn’t seem like it was going away, enough to get me worried. My head was congested, I didn’t have any energy. I slept a lot and didn’t feel like exercise or even walking.

I was told that people work breathing those conditions all the time without problems. That maybe all this was in my head. But I had recently got over the flu that had been going around. Looking back, I believe that my throat was raw and therefore I was more vulnerable to those flying toxins.
So I went back to Storm and did another Live Blood Cell Analysis, only 2 1/2 months after the first. This time we could see the a huge difference. Where before most of the blood was healthy looking and there with patches of toxins, now most of the blood had toxins, or looked unhealthy, with only patches of healthy blood. She saw lots of damaged cells, free radicals, and a few forms that she had never seen before. Storm herself had chemical exposure and suffered with chronic fatigue and knows what toxic blood looks by her own experience. She actually felt sorry for me.
But I actually feel fortunate that I have the resources to know where to go and what to do. It’s been recommended that I go to the doctor and get checked out. I rarely go to the doctor, I haven’t taken an antibiotic in over 15 years. In fact, I’ve been called an idiot in the past for not going to the doctor soon enough. But I know the doctor’s limitations. They don’t look for toxins in your blood and they don’t know anything about cleansing or detoxification. They simply aren’t adequately trained for these types of problems. They’d probably tell me that my cholesterol is too high, that I’m too fat and should exercise more, or that it’s in my head, or maybe even give me an antibiotic and an anti depressant to cheer me up.
When I started to review Live Blood Cell Analysis on the internet, I wasn’t too surprised when the  google searches were first websites that discredited it, calling it a “gimmick” and describing how much money a Live Blood Cell Analysis could make for a practitioner. It’s no surprise that those who have the money can get ranked higher in google and control the communication.
Yet you can see your blood yourself. You can see what the practitioner is looking at and you can compare to what healthy blood cells look like. What could possibly be wrong with that?  But of course it’s better to make the person not trust their own guidance system and rely on a doctor’s “expertise”.
Why wouldn’t doctors use this great device? Doctors do not learn about cleansing or toxicity. Doctor’s are trained by the pharmaceutical companies, and there’s no profit in teaching people how to cleanse their bodies. As a pharmacist, if someone would come in and say they were exposed to toxic materials, I would have nothing to offer them.
A good website on Live Blood Cell Analysis:

I actually feel fortunate that I know how to handle these types of problems holistically. I’ll be going to Optimum Health Institute for the next week. It’s all about cleansing there, raw food, wheat grass, colonics, and enemas. All kinds of things to get the junk out of the body.
The really good news is that my insurance has been paying for my hotel while my condo is getting repaired. So I convinced them to pay for the week here instead. Shout out to Allstate!

FAITH

FAITH

I just went to Alfonso De Rose’s three day seminar about Faith.

I’ve known Alfonso for about 6 years. A former Italian bodybuilding champion,  he is now a  a hypnotherapist and a Master NLP Trainer. Following extensive studies in spiritual science, he  now helps others achieve their own personal breakthroughs. In the 6 years I’ve known him I’ve watched him grow his business and himself into a class act.

What is faith? Faith means listening to God, or your guidance system. When God tells you to do something, you have to do it. Faith is being able to listen to the voice and take action, even if it’s scary, or it doesn’t make complete sense to you at the time. It’s like a knowing. If you listen then you’re doing what you’re supposed to do. If you don’t, you will get a push. Examples he gave were going to a new city, giving away things that you wouldn’t normally give, and taking some action that is scary. As long as “God” tells you to do it, the blessings will come back to you.

For me, I don’t belong to any religious affiliation, and I’m a follower of Abraham Hicks. So when Alfonso says “God” I interpret that as “my higher self” or “my guidance system” or even “the universe”. According to Abraham Hicks, the religions were written when someone went into the jungle for long enough to gain clarity and focus that allows the words to come through from their higher self. That there is truth is all religions, but as the humans get hold of the interpretations . . . ya know.

I had bought my condo 12 years ago. It’s a cute place in the Long Beach Marina. I walk over a bridge and I’m at the Marina Pacifica mall. I’ve also met many friends there. I’ve taken part in the communication by participating as the Newsletter Committee Chair, and I also helped create a yahoo group where the neighbors can communicate. After almost 5 years there’s over 8,000 messages and it’s played a great role in improving communication and helping people connect. I’m happy with what I’ve done, and I also feel that I made it a better place. It’s comfortable there, my mother lives only 10 minutes away so often I drop off my dog rather than leaving him alone when I have to work.

But about 6 months ago I got a feeling that I needed to move, that my time there was over, it felt stale, that whatever I needed to do was done, and that I really didn’t want to be there anymore. I looked at all my belongings that I’ve accumulated and I remember thinking how none of it seemed very important. It was just a bunch of stuff. It was time to go.

But I didn’t listen. Where would I go? It’d be hard to go somewhere different without someone to help me with my dog. It’s hard to go to a new city and start new. I would definitely have to revamp my social skills. I’d have to get out of my comfort zone, or, as they teach in seminars, make my comfort zone larger. All the chatter stopped me from taking action.

In the last few months of last year, I had three floods in my house which were really annoying. Two were from the rain, and the other was from me pouring in draino to clear a plugged up bathtub. But who knew that draino would destroy the old pipes? Was this the universe speaking? Or just an inconvenience?

About 3 weeks ago I had another flood, but this one was different, it came from the upstairs unit when their toilet kept running. The carpet, ceiling, and walls were soaked.

To make a long and emotionally exhausting story short, the company that came in to dry it used improper procedures. They cut into the asbestos-containing ceiling (to prevent mold from forming) and kept the four air movers on for an entire week. When an insurance adjuster came to assess the damage, he was annoyed, almost angry. “Who did this?”, he asked pointing to my ceiling “Was it a friend of yours?” I told him that it was a company I hired. He then said that asbestos is toxic when it is airborne, and since I have asbestos in an open ceiling and the air movers were going that the entire place was contaminated! Which started me on a week-long asbestos freak out where I read everything I could about asbestos and I called anyone that I could think of that knows about asbestos.

Since then I’ve been locked out, there was plastic covering the front door with a “Do Not Enter” sign on it. And then a company came with all this equipment and plastic to decontaminate, with the workers wearing suits and masks. The inspector describes it as a scene similar to that in the movie ET. My furniture and all the other contaminated belongings (everything) have been zip-locked with plastic bags and removed from my home.

Again, I’ll spare the emotional trauma all this has caused, and how creepy it is that strangers are moving all my belongings, and get to the spiritual part.

So now everything is packed and removed from my unit, I’ll be getting new carpet and paint, my ceiling is being scraped it will be in perfect selling condition. Okay, universe, I’m listening! Can you imagine what would happen next if I chose to stay? Ouch.

Next stop on this journey: Santa Monica.
